version90 is contract review and management software for small businesses and startups. It is built and operated by Latent Ape LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company, and sold the way small businesses actually buy software: one plan at $100/month with unlimited users, published allowances, monthly billing, and no sales call. The product exists because contract work at small companies still happens in Word attachments and email threads, and enterprise CLM suites answer that with six-figure contracts and implementation projects. version90 keeps the workflow your counterparties already use, so they stay in Word and email with no accounts required, and adds what those threads are missing: immutable version history, native .docx tracked changes edited in the browser, built-in e-signature with a sealed evidence trail, and a searchable archive of everything you've executed.

The AI is deliberately constrained. Every finding must cite the exact contract text it came from, every citation is verified against the document before it's shown, and anything unverifiable is suppressed rather than displayed. The AI never edits a document autonomously. Humans redline; software tracks, files, and explains. The same rule holds for the API and MCP server: agents can read, search, ingest, and analyze, but no editing endpoint exists.

Who. Written by version90 staff at Latent Ape LLC, the company that builds version90, working with AI tools. We build contract software and run our own contracts through it; we are not a law firm, and nothing here is legal advice.

How. Each piece starts from the review workflow version90 is built around. AI drafts and structures the text; staff edit, fact-check, and rewrite it before it is published, and we update the date shown above whenever the substance changes.

Why. The library exists to give founders and ops teams a shared standard for reviewing contracts without a legal department. If you spot an error, email [email protected] and we will fix the page.

We do not publish pages we would not want to read ourselves, we do not write to a word count, and we do not create a separate page for every phrasing of the same question. When two pages would say the same thing, we write one.
